What i need is someone who can tell me version that i can use with this laptop as im useless at matvhing them up ..... /me slaps face....

If you could point some out so i can get one asap...:)

Hello Andy,

i looked after this HDD in a big Online-Electronicshop here in germany but its also aviable in whole Europe. Its www.alternate.eu. I tried to find this HDD but its too old i think. They've got only bigger drives from 120-500GB. The smallest costs 35.98 €. I think something about 32 Pounds (?!). Its this one: http://www.alternate.eu/html/product/details.html?articleId=221915&showTechData=true#tecData . 120Gb should be enough 4 ur daughter i think ^^

Don't buy SAMSUNG drives (90% when warranty ends drive just die in same time) ! Take Seagate or Western Digital.

Seagate HD's Andy all the way. I tend to buy them from Amazon basically because there isnt much difference in price.

Are you 100% the HD is dead? Is there data in there you want to save? Whats the symptoms of the ill laptop :)

ps. I will send that info later today Andy. Had to have a night off from the comp, my eyes were almost bleeding ;)
